If my Linux box also has its MTU size set tothen inbound and outbound packets will be fragmented at the DSL router so it can add or remove its 8 bits. We need a solution to this Ethernet controller for Windows See this press attansif for details. Thanks for the links. Network kept dropping out, the computer losing it’s IP address. Mine will only break if I pull alot of data-speedtest. We do not support this driver.

Thank You for Submitting a Reply,! Thank You for Submitting Ashs Review,! I guess the message is beware of driver updates, even from MS!! You have to do this first thing after removing the battery for the PCI bus not to get stuffed again by using the dodgy Vista driver. Forgot to say that I just re-install it with XPand found this problem.

I did read Amritha K’s post in the similar Microsoft Answer thread that I linked to above, but I am somewhat leary of installing non-Windows 7 drivers on a new Windows 7 installation.
Is that really a good idea? If you know of other mainboards that include this device, please email me. The atl1 driver was released as part of kernel aus 2.

Do they do any testing or are we meant to do their beta testing for them?? What would be your next step?
